Our Values
Bible Centred (2 Tim 3:16)
We believe that the Bible is the word of God. It is our authority and contains everything in it that is necessary for salvation and for growing in and deepening our relationship with Jesus. Across the Edge Anglican Network we teach the Bible each week carefully, clearly and for all generations to understand.
Spirit Filled (Gal 5:13-26)
We believe that God has sent his promised Holy Spirit to empower us as his followers for ministry in this world and to grow more Christlike each day. In his kindness, God distributes spiritual gifts freely and generously to his followers through the Holy Spirit. We also believe the Spirit moves in people's lives, making them receptive to the message of the gospel.
Gospel Focused (2 Cor 5:14-21)
We believe in the power of the gospel to transform lives. The good news of Jesus Christ crucified and risen again is entrusted to us as his followers to boldly proclaim to our communities of Claremont and New Norfolk and beyond. Everything we do across the Edge Anglican Network is to honour the Triune God and live out his gospel of hope in word and action.
Generosity (Psalm 50:10)
We believe in being generous with all that we have as God has been generous with us. Across the Edge Anglican Network we want to give, serve and live lives that are marked with generosity. It is our desire to support both local and global mission and to pray that God would continue to generously provide for all our needs.
Humility (Phil 2:1-11)
We believe that as followers of Jesus we are called to live with humility, just as Jesus modelled when he set aside his equality with God to serve us. Across the Edge Anglican Network we want this value to shape how we treat one another engaging with one another in gentleness and kindness.
Compassionate (Matt 11:28-30)
We believe that across the Edge Anglican Network, our churches are places for all people to encounter the saving grace of Jesus and find rest in him. We are welcoming to all who come searching, just as Jesus welcomes us.
